Allison Goren
Founder & CEO, Pink Nannies — Washington, DC
Before she built an agency, Allison was the nanny families like yours are searching for. She spent over a decade as a nanny and newborn care specialist for ultra-high-net-worth families, work she chose deliberately, stepping away from a nursing degree to pursue it. That decade inside households where discretion wasn’t optional, it was the job, is what shapes how Pink Nannies operates in Washington, DC today: NDA-backed placements, security-conscious vetting, and a caregiver bench built for families who cannot afford a mismatch.
In 2016, Allison partnered with her sister Danielle, co-founder of Pink Newborn Services, to bring that same standard to a wider network of families. What started as one sister’s newborn care specialty became Pink Nannies: a placement agency built from lived experience on both sides of the relationship, not from theory.
Allison has spent her career advocating for nannies as much as for the families who hire them, working to professionalize a field too often dismissed as informal, and to give caregivers real pathways to training and advancement. In Washington’s market, where households frequently need household managers, travel nannies, and long-term placements built to withstand demanding, unpredictable schedules, that dual perspective, having done the job and now building the standard for it, is the credential that matters most.
She lives with her husband and two sons, and outside the agency spends her time traveling, skiing, and staying close to family and friends.
